Our Objective
TraderReview™ provides clear, expert-driven evaluations of trading platforms to help both new and experienced users make informed decisions. Our objective is to deliver unbiased editorial insights that explain how each platform works, highlight key strengths and weaknesses, and guide users toward safe, reliable, and effective trading experiences.
Watch for
Although regulated in many jurisdictions, depending on which legal entity you use (which country your account is with) the protections differ (for example investor guarantees may vary)
Some user complaints reportedly relate to delays in support, difficulties withdrawing in certain cases, and clarity around ownership of certain assets (especially when trading CFDs rather than “real” assets).
As with all trading platforms, especially those offering CFDs, leverage, or crypto, there’s inherent market risk. Regulation can help, but it doesn’t remove the risk of losing money.

eToro appears to be a legitimate and reasonably secure platform from an operational and regulatory standpoint. For an everyday investor looking to trade with a recognized broker, it ticks many of the right boxes. However, it is not a guarantee of no risk — you should still treat it like any investment/trading platform: check exactly which entity you are contracting with, what protections apply in your country, and be aware of the product types you’re trading (stocks vs CFDs vs crypto).
